Day 1: Grotto Bay Beach!
We had some neat caves at our hotel that Erik thought about swimming in. . .
We found church only a few minutes walk away. Sunday morning it was pouring rain, so we showed up pretty wet, but the branch was very nice and welcoming to the wet visitors.
We went up to the first town settled in Bermuda, St. George in 1609, and witnessed an old fashioned dunking!
Our first snorkeling spot at Tobacco Bay. Luckily we hid all our bags under a rock since it started raining again while we were snorkeling.
There was a bunker or fort on every corner of the island. They always thought they would come under attack during the different wars through the ages, but none of them were ever very used.
More exploring. . .
More snorkeling. . . there were also huge cruise ships in port if you look closely to the background. If you look closely at our faces, we have snorkel face too!
The baptismal font of the branch. Does anyone know what mission Bermuda is in? New York New York South Mission. We were there the same time as the mission president. President and Sister Bennion! I met my long lost cousin, Steve, in Bermuda.
Rehearsal dinner on the boat! It was a bit windy up front.
